Perhaps your exercise routine has taken a back seat for too long. Maybe you’re coming back to fitness after an unexpected setback. You might be trying to find a way to reset your goals and ignite your love for movement after an extended break. Or maybe you’ve been inspired by a new year, month or week and want to prioritise your health. Reboot with Kayla is for any woman who wants to commit to her goals and put herself first and will be published by Penguin Random House in Australia and the United Kingdom in January.

After welcoming her second child, Jax, at the beginning of 2023, Sweat’s co-founder and head trainer Kayla went on a reboot journey of her own. But she found her second experience with postpartum fitness SO different to the first.

“After Arna’s birth in 2019, it was the first time in my life where I felt completely lost when it came to moving my body and planning my routine,” Kayla writes in the book.

“Returning to fitness after becoming a mum is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. And no matter where you are in your own health and fitness journey today, I want you to know: it’s okay to feel a little overwhelmed. Focus on what you can do rather than what you can’t do. Make modifications. But make a commitment to yourself and remind yourself that you can do hard things.”

Reboot with Kayla is so much more than a workout plan or a journal. We’ve designed it so that you can use it as a toolkit for success that will ignite your love for movement, wellbeing and exercise.

Over four weeks, Reboot with Kayla will arm you with the tools you need to make fitness a habit, with a focus on key topics including mindset, movement, motivation and momentum. Each week, readers will find a list of workouts to choose from - a mix of walking, mobility and strength sessions - complete with a specified number of sessions for the week.

You’ll also find plenty of delicious and nutritious recipes that have been handpicked by Kayla and the Sweat team that don’t require too much prep or time spent in the kitchen. But this isn’t a diet book or a meal plan - we know that between work, family, study and whatever else you have on your plate, deciding what to cook can sometimes be a bit of a nightmare. These easy recipe ideas take the guesswork out of finding filling, nourishing meals you’ll actually enjoy.

At Sweat, one of the things we love most about fitness is how it makes us feel. That’s why we want you to take the time to check in with yourself and think about how you’re feeling in body and mind during your reboot journey. In each section of the book, you’ll find pep talks from Kayla to inspire you, alongside journal pages filled with prompts to help you reflect on where you’re at and how far you’ve come.

“Remember, fitness is about so much more than a number on a scale. It’s setting a new goal and hitting it. It’s about realising you’re capable of SO much more than you first thought was possible,” writes Kayla.

We all have to start somewhere. So let’s hit reboot together. Pre-order Reboot with Kayla today.
