Alongside Chontel, you’ll build your foundational strength with low-impact movements designed to help you feel your best - inside AND out - with modifications so you can tailor the program to best suit you.
Who is Low Impact Strength for?
This 12-week low-impact program is suitable for anyone with a beginner or intermediate level of fitness who wants to build their strength progressively without any jumping.
You’ll only need basic home gym equipment to get started, so it’s perfect if you love to Sweat at home, but can also be done in the gym.
It’s also a great option if you want to build your foundational strength and fitness before trying heavier lifting or one of Chontel’s more advanced programs like FIERCE.
How is Low Impact Strength structured?
There are three 30-45 minute workouts each week - lower body & core, upper body & core and a full-body strength session. The lower body & core and upper body & core workouts each have strength, superset, endurance and core sections, while the full-body strength workout features three eight-minute circuits.
Chontel also recommends weekly low-intensity steady state cardio sessions on alternate days to your resistance sessions, and has included an optional cardio HIIT workout if you’re feeling great and want to level up your training!
What equipment will you need?
Low Impact Strength can be completed at home or in the gym, all you need to get started are a pair of dumbbells, a chair and a resistance band.
You can also use the exercise and equipment substitution feature in the Sweat app to find alternative exercises, or substitute dumbbells for household items of a similar weight if you don’t have any handy.
