The Easiest 3 Ingredient Homemade Chocolate Ever

I don't know about you, but having some kind of sweet in the house is sort of crucial for me!

It's no surprise that we all get a craving for sweets every now and then, right? Sometimes I feel like all I can think about is having a piece of chocolate or a pastry and I will make it my MISSION to find one.

What I've learned from the books and podcasts of different health coaches, nutritionists and dieticians is that it's actually BETTER to let yourself listen to your cravings rather than ignore them.

I'm sure you've heard the phrase "you are what you think" right? So if we're thinking about how we CAN'T let ourselves have ANY sweets all day long then all we're going to be doing all day is thinking about how we want sweets.

We end up fighting ourselves and shaming ourselves over eating something that would make us happy! It's pretty crazy!

What we need to do instead is find a way to satisfy our cravings in a HEALTHY way so that we can have our cake and eat it too ;) And so that we CAN actually satisfy these cravings.

If we give our bodies something healthy (like this chocolate) rather than something filled with sugar and artifical ingredients then we will keep our blood sugar levels from spiking, which keeps us from craving more!

OKAY - let's get into this chocolate recipe so you guys can have this stocked up in your fridge like me and induldge whenever your heart desires!

I found this recipe from a company called Moon Juice ( a juice store in California that sells other healty adaptogens and plant based proteins. You can also find all their products online at Moonjuice.com) The owner of Moon Juice is a super inspiring woman by the way and you can read all about her and her journey in my blog here.

I saw that it was only 3-ingredients AND I already had all of the ingredient at my house so I figured I would try to make it!

It took me about 25 minutes from start to finish and I AM OBSESSED.

Here's what you will need:

  • 1 CUP RAW CACAO
  • 1/2 CUP COCONUT OIL
  • 1/4 CUP RAW HONEY

Directions:

It's SO easy.

  1. Melt the honey and coconut oil together in a pan on LOW.
  2. Add the melted honey, coconut oil and Raw cacao powder into a bowl.
  3. Whisk togethet until smooth.

Once you mix everything together you can pour it into an 8X8 glass or metal bakin dish OR you can do what I did and pour the mixture into a metal cupcake baking dish.

I poured a small amount in each section of the cupcake dish so that I could have a bunch of individual pieces!

Stick the pan in the freezer for 20 minutes and then use a butter knife to pop the chocolate out!

TIP:

If you want to use up AS MUCH chocolate as possible like I did, then cut up an organic banana into 1/2 inch pieces and wipe the bowl clean with each banana piece and stick those on a piece of parchment paper in the fridge for 20 minutes.

YUM!
