FIGS ARE IN SEASON! I don't know about you, but this is literally my favorite time of year!

Not only do these juicy pops make my smoothie bowls look lit as, but they also remind me of being little and my super picky ways. I would eat nothing but cut up apples and dry paste (oh how times have changed), let alone a fruit that resembled more of a dangerous plant than a late night treat. I just remember being so terrified of this fruit, and now I await the local fruit stall owner to let me know when to buy them fresh out nature's kitchen.

Fast forward to today and its my superfood smoothie bowl of the month, goodness me I really wouldn’t have it any other way.

Before we get into the how to and what not, lets break down the ingredients used in this super delicious smoothie bowl!

Benefits of bananas:
I’m not sure if you guys use it for the same reason, but I feel like whenever I use bananas in a dish it just sweetness everything up without the risk of adding to many unnecessary calories to your meal! They are also naturally fat and cholesterol free, which means bye bye butter and oil to make ya cookies! With the high level of potassium and a good amount of vitamin C, you really can’t go wrong with this happy shaped fruit.

Benefits of cinnamon:
An ingredient I think I put on 90% of my food, and with good reason! Cinnamon is high in antioxidants, contains anti-inflammatory properties and helps protect your beautiful big heart.

What are the benefits of figs?
Figs are high in fiber and a good source of several essential minerals, including magnesium, manganese, calcium (which promotes bone density), copper, and potassium (which helps lower blood pressure), as well as vitamins, principally K and B6.

Firstly, what is Wazoogles and why is it better in my opinion than your local whey option? So basically it is a superfood blend mixed with pea protein, every scoop contains antioxidants, living enzymes, essential minerals, plant based protein and a wide spectrum of vital nutrients. DIRECTIONS:

  • Add all ingredients to your blender.
