Green Breakfast Smoothie
BREAKFAST GREEN SMOOTHIE

We find ourselves super busy during the week and we forget to nourish ourselves even we are on the run. I am guilty of this as much as anyone else, specially if I am teaching early in the morning. I rush to get out of the house, grab a coffee, and often find myself having some kind of bar around 10am and being hangry by noon.

I've found that smoothies are my favorite way to get as many nutrients in as possible, they are super easy to make and to bring anywhere.

Adding some greens makes them even better, and I know, some people think that adding spinach can make the taste funny and can't even imagine adding kale. However, most of the time the other ingredients take over the flavor so you can't even taste it.

Fruit smoothies are my favorite summer treat, frozen banana and berries or mango are my GO-TO! I could jsut have that no issues at all, since fruit is super high o anti-oxidants and other nutrients, and I don't shy on the "sugars" since they give me energy for the day - however, I do add greens to it to get my daily intake.

Some benefits of adding greens and more fruit on your diet are:

Instant Energy Supplier: When you eat fruits, your supply of energy increases in no time; this is one of the prime benefits of fruits that we can utilize in our busy schedules. This is the reason why athletes often eat fruit during and after exercising and why diets for pregnant mothers almost always involve fruits of some kind.

Added fiber to your system: Fiber helps your digestive system to function on a smoother way. If you are sudenddly eating a lot of process foods, fiber will help to get it out your system faster and will heal you in the process.

Keep your gut healthy: Your gut needs good bacteria to function better, and on way to do it is adding more greens to your body. Those greens have the good kind of it that will help balance your gut.

The maximum nutritional value in fruits can be derived when eaten raw. Cooked or preserved fruits usually lose some of their important nutrients due to high heat and extended shelf life, respectively. Thus, fresh fruits are the most advantageous for your diet.

Here it is favorite green and fruits smoothie for you, it's sweet, super yummy and you can barely taste the greens, pink promise!
