Step 1

Connect the handle attachment and set the cable pulley to the top of the pole. Turn to face the cable pulley and grasp the handle with both hands in a neutral grip (palms facing inwards). Standing two steps away, plant your feet in a split stance with your right foot forward and left foot back. While maintaining a slight bend in your knees, extend your arms to hold the handle at eye-level*. This is your starting position. *It is important that there is some tension in the cable when in the starting position. If there isn’t, you will need to position yourself further from the cable pulley/pole.

Step 2

Inhale. Exhale. Using your obliques, pivot your feet, turn your hips and torso away from the cable pulley and pull the handle down to hip height, ensuring that your arms remain straight.

Step 3

Inhale. Using your obliques, turn your hips and torso towards the cable pulley to return to the starting position, once again, ensuring that your arms remain straight. Complete half of the specified number of repetitions on the same side before completing the remaining repetitions on the other side.
