Cable Lying Triceps Extension

Step 1

Connect the short bar attachment and set the cable pulley at the bottom of the pole. Place a bench directly in front of the cable pulley, a half-step away from the pole. Lie down on the bench and plant your feet on the floor on either side of the bench, or on the bench itself — whichever is most comfortable. Place both hands on the bar with an overhand grip (palms facing away from your body) and hold it directly in front of your chest with arms extended. This is your starting position.

Step 2

Inhale. While keeping your shoulders as still as possible, bend your elbows to lower the bar towards your forehead.

Step 3

Exhale. Using your triceps, extend your elbows to return to the starting position, ensuring that your shoulders, elbows and wrists remain in line with one another at all times. Repeat for the specified number of repetitions.
