Barbell Tricep Extension

Step 1

Start standing with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a barbell slightly less than hip-width apart in an overhand grip (palms facing towards you) with arms extended, the bar should be just below your hips. Raise and press the barbell above your head so that your arms are in line with your ears. This is your starting position.

Step 2

Inhale, brace your core and bend your elbows to lower the barbell behind your head, ensuring that your elbows and wrists remain in line with one another and that your upper arms remain fixed by your ears. Exhale and using your tricep muscles, extend your elbows to press the barbell above your head and return to the starting position. Repeat for the specified number of repetitions.
